Hot Damn! The #1 Spicy Food Blog

This is my second review of the Iguana hot sauce line. Unlike the Iguana Radioactive, this is a tangy sauce with a slight hint of sweet and savory. Contains golden habanero peppers and cayenne peppers but honestly, it isn't very hot. It's not exactly sweet but it kind of has a sweet aftertaste from the carrot and mustard seeds which leads to a very unique flavor. Overall, I would give it a 2/10

This is a great sauce. Nice and thick, go ahead and slather it on. This is a definite fire sauce boasting 32% habanero peppers 22% cayenne peppers and 18% Tabasco peppers. This is a very tangy, citrus like sauce with plenty of kick. This sauce is hot but not overly hot, leaves a tingle and fades away. Overall, I'll give it a 6/10

This sauce is very thin and tastes pretty much like vinegar. Even though it fits have habanero peppers in it, it's really lacking in heat content, honestly I couldn't really taste any heat or flavor from it except for the vinegar. 2/10

Sweet and extremely smoky, this hot sauce is great. Touting chipotle and adobo peppers, it's got almost a taste of Mexico with notes of citrus and lime. The sauce is thick and very tasty with very deep flavor. Overall, this isn't a very hot sauce but it is worth a try for the beginner. 2/10

This sauce is delicious. Tastes almost like a BBQ sauce with a sweet and Smokey hickory or mesquite flavor. The heat level is pretty much nonexistent but the sauce is great and would go great on ribs, brisket, or chicken. Overall, I would give it a 1 out of 10 on the heat scale.

For serious heatseekers only. This sauce is not to be taken lightly. The flavor is just straight pepper and vinager thick texture and hot. The bottle boasts that it is made from 3 Million Scoville Chile Extract, 160,000 Scoville Cayenne Pepper, and fresh habanero peppers; it certainly shows once it hits your tongue. I put just a few drops on my food and could definitely feel a strong burn, after a few more drops, my mouth was on fire. This is a top favorite of mine and I'm ranking it a 10/10 for heat. If you want fire then this is the closest you'll get without a lighter. Try this sauce!

I realize that many people do not have a Sonic Drive-in in their town. Sonic is a fast-food type restaurant that has recently launched a new menu item called Spicy Popcorn Chicken. With the new menu item, they have also released 2 new dipping sauces Berry Spicy and Creamy Chipotle.

Creamy Chipotle-
For the classic spicy lover. This sauce also tastes great on Sonic's Spicy Popcorn Chicken. It's got a classic kick from chipotle peppers which give it a salty taste and it finishes nicely with a creamy aspect almost like a ranch but not as strong. I liked this sauce; however I thought that the Berry Spicy was better for the adventure seeker. This sauce is also not hot so I’m giving it a 1/10 but i would recommend trying it if you are at the restaurant.

Berry Spicy-
This sauce is so great, it tastes exactly as the name expresses. Sweet raspberry sauce with a kick from some added jalapeños. It is the strangest combination of flavors I’ve ever tasted but it just works so well. I would definitely recommend trying it with the Spicy Popcorn Chicken, you will not be disappointed. It is not hot so I'm only going to give it a 1/10 but very tasty none the less.

This sauce is hot! The bottle states that it is a food additive only. Any chili head will tell you that's like the label they put on mattresses. It's got an extremely strong vinegar flavor and lots of heat. Given that it really isn't intended to be a sauce it is very thin, water like almost. But it is definitely one to try of you just want some heat. The flavor factor is disappointing, pretty much non-existent. It still leaves your lips tingling and your tongue wanting a glass of water and has a long after bite. 7/10

Whew! This guy is hot! Classic buffalo taste, lots of acidic vinegar, and pepper flavor. It has a strong initial burn but it's not so hot that the burn lingers for too long. You will feel this all the way down. It leaves a nice sizzle on the lips. Would be great for wings! Overall i'm going to give it a 6/10!
